The Trinity Certificate for Practising Teachers (CertPT) is an in-service vocational teaching qualification at Level 6 on Ofqual’s Regulated Qualifications Framework (RQF). It is defined around pedagogical outcomes and requires the completion of four practical teaching activities related to the teacher’s professional context.

We offer the Trinity CertPT as an ‘add-on’ to your NILE course, focussing on the same area of specialism in both the course and the Trinity CertPT.  For example, if you have taken the NILE Teaching Young Learners course, your Trinity CertPT assignments will be based on the context of teaching young learners. This means that the content areas you learn about in your NILE course are directly relevant to your assignments in the Trinity CertPT.

Apply

You can work towards the Trinity CertPT as an extension to most regular face-to-face or online courses. To see a list of options, download the courses and dates sheets on the face-to-face courses or the NILE Online pages.

If your chosen course does not have the Trinity CertPT qualification listed, please contact us for your options.

If you fail one, two or three of the assignments on first submission, you have the opportunity to resubmit each of them (once only), with support from your tutor. Both first and second submissions are moderated by Trinity.

If you fail all of the four assignments on first submission, you do not get the opportunity to resubmit and will be awarded a Fail grade.

You must pass all four assignments after resubmission to be awarded a passing grade.
