Özlem Baykan NILE Consultant Trainer
Özlem is an instructor of English for Academic Purposes at Özyeğin University in Istanbul, Türkiye. She holds BA and MA degrees in English Language Teaching from Bilkent University, and holds an M.Sc. degree in Educational Administration and Planning from METU where she is currently pursuing a PhD degree. She holds DELTA and was also a Fulbright Scholar in Iowa State University, USA, where she had teaching experience in the K-12 context.
During her over 15 years in ELT in the higher education context, Özlem has had various roles in curriculum and assessment, training and academic management in her institution, serving as a level developer and a line-manager for 12 years.
With a strong enthusiasm for contributing to the field of education worldwide, especially in the areas of quality assurance and accreditation, educational leadership, and training, Özlem has regularly presented at international conferences, delivered workshops and training for national and international English language teachers and managers. She also serves in various organisations, currently as a CEA Commissioner, as an EAQUALS Inspector, and as a committee member of IATEFL Leadership and Management SIG. She has been a CELTA trainer since 2019.
