Laurie CrouchNILE Consultant Trainer

Laurie is an ELT educator, assessor, teacher trainer and education technology specialist based in Santiago, Chile, with more than 20 years’ experience in language education in Poland, Indonesia and Chile.

He has extensive experience in teacher training, course design and online learning, including in recent years working closely with the Chilean Ministry for Education on professional development programmes for school and university teachers, and designing preparation courses for Cambridge TKT modules delivered in both online and face-to-face contexts. In his role as director of Ed Tech at the British-Chilean Institute in Santiago, he has led large-scale online learning projects and staff training initiatives, and developed digital resources to support teachers and learners in online and blended learning contexts. He has also presented on education technology and teacher development at regional ELT conferences across South America.

Laurie lives with his family in Santiago and away from education his interests include music, travel and sport.
