Gavin Dudeney

Gavin Dudeney is Director of Technology for The Consultants-E, working in the areas of educational technologies, materials and course design, and M&E on large-scale education projects worldwide. Prior to this he worked in Spain for twenty three years as a teacher, teacher trainer, web designer and as one of the founders of the first online language school, Net Languages. He is also currently module leader (MATALL) on the NILE / University of Chichester MAPDLE (MA in Professional Development for Language Education).

A former Honorary Secretary and Chair of ElCom at IATEFL (the International Association of Teachers of English as a Foreign Language), he has also served on the International House Trust Board and the Educational Writers Committee of the Society of Authors. He is currently a trustee for Volcano Theatre Company in Swansea, where he is based.

Gavin is author of The Internet & The Language Classroom and co-author of the award-winning publications How To Teach English with Technology and Going Mobile. The second edition of his 2014 Routledge publication, Digital Literacies, was published in 2022.
