Barbara CraigNILE Consultant Trainer
Barbara Craig has been an active member of the TESOL professional community for over 30 years. She has worked as a teacher, student academic advisor, academic manager, and as head of a large university English language centre in Sydney, Australia.
She has a passion for staff professional development and enjoys fostering the professional growth of others. Her ELT work has been recognised in Australia, winning personal national awards for Academic Leadership and for Professional Practice, as well as multiple national awards for her language centre.
She has recently joined the NILE team as a dissertation supervisor for the MAPDLE. She is also a researcher, mid-way through a PhD in Applied Linguistics and Education. Her research interests include leadership, professional development, and teacher careers. She holds a Master of Research, Master of Arts in Applied Linguistics, Post Graduate Diploma in Teaching, and a Bachelor degree in Linguistics and Languages.
In her spare time Barbara enjoys hiking, gardening, and making the most of her coastal environment. She is currently the Co-Coordinator of IATEFL’s Leadership and Management Special Interest Group (LAMSIG).
