Rose AylettNILE Consultant Trainer

Rose Aylett is a teacher, trainer, and CELTA tutor based in Liverpool. She began her ELT career in North Africa and the Middle East, and now works globally as a freelance training consultant on a range of English language education projects.

Rose has a long-standing professional interest in critical pedagogy, global citizenship, and social justice education. She is the course leader for NILE’s Global Citizenship in Language Education course, which builds on her MA research into critical literacy in teacher development.

A regular speaker at national and international conferences, Rose's work focuses on teaching controversial issues, fostering critical dialogue, and embedding critical perspectives into English language teaching. She was a plenary speaker at the 2023 EAQUALS and 2024 IATEFL conferences.

In her free time, Rose enjoys hiking, biking, and camping - and spending as much time outdoors as possible.
