Julie WallisNILE Consultant Trainer

Julie Wallis is a teacher trainer and educational leader based in Italy. She has over 35 years’ experience in primary, secondary and post-secondary education. She specialises in teacher training, language development, CLIL, curriculum and materials development, and quality assurance, working extensively with non-native English teachers and subject teachers transitioning to bilingual and CLIL contexts. Julie has delivered teacher development projects for organisations including EAQUALS, AISLi, the British Council, NILE, Erasmus+ programmes, TransformELT, schools and universities, and has worked as an international inspector and trainer across Europe, Asia, and Africa. A regular conference speaker and Cambridge English Speaking Examiner, she is known for her practical, humanistic approach to teacher education, integrating CEFR-aligned practice, social-emotional learning, and emerging technologies into sustainable professional development.
