Jonathan Hadley

Jonathan Hadley has worked in English Language Teaching for almost 30 years as a teacher, teacher trainer and curriculum/materials writer, working with both children and adults. With MA degrees in Arabic and Islamic Studies and Applied Linguistics/TESOL as well as the CELTA and DELTA qualifications, he now specialises in educational reform programmes, working with teachers, educational institutions and Ministries of Education. His most recent teacher training projects have been in Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Ethiopia.

Jonathan is a regular presenter at conferences and is the author of a number of publications, including Supplementary Activities for English Language Teaching: Large Class and Low Resource Contexts.

Jonathan was a tutor on the “CLIL course for primary teachers” in 2022. For NILE, he has also delivered online webinars to English teachers in Argentina and Italy. He is particularly interested in the teaching of vocabulary and the challenges of motivating and engaging students in large classroom contexts.
