Eleanor Bateman

Eleanor’s works with NILE’s Accommodation and Facilities Manager to recruit new hosts and place students in suitable accommodation. As part of her job, she ensures that participants have a smooth and comfortable stay with their homestay hosts, and she works closely with NILE's network of hosts to support them and help them get the most out of hosting their guests. She also arranges and coordinates residential accommodation for participants who prefer a more independent experience.

Eleanor also works on the Facilities Team to ensure excellent working conditions are maintained and both staff and students are kept safe at NILE. As NILE’s Librarian, Eleanor support participants with NILE's on-site and online specialist ELT library.

Before starting her role at NILE, Eleanor worked as a subtitler. With a BA in English and French, she speaks fluent French and holds an MA in Audiovisual and Literary Translation.

In her spare time, Eleanor enjoys printmaking, reading, going to the cinema and yoga.
