Amy Sadler

Stemming from her love of language learning, Amy has worked in languages education since 2010. Her career to date has taken her from her native England all across Europe, to Ukraine and currently to teaching Taiwanese children online.

A firm believer in the value of lifelong learning, she holds a BA in French and Anthropology (University of Sussex), a Secondary PGCE in teaching Modern Foreign Languages (Goldsmiths, University of London), a DELTA (Cambridge English) and is currently undertaking research exploring content teachers’ CLIL training needs.

Her experiences, by and large working with young learners, have ranged from teaching English, French and Spanish, teacher training, conference speaking, academic coordination, and materials development.

Amy has a special interest in a learner-centred approach to languages education and the promotion of Assessment for Learning, 21st Century skills, Project & Task-Based Learning and particularly the integration of content and language teaching (CLIL), having developed art gallery workshops for the Gulbenkian museum, STEM courses and teacher training courses in collaboration with the British Council and the Portuguese Ministry of Education.

Since returning to her hometown of Norwich in 2022, she has been delighted to be collaborating with NILE as a Trinity CertPT tutor and freelance consultant trainer specialising in teaching young learners and CLIL.
