Uwe is a German-born teacher educator and currently a lecturer in language pedagogy and applied linguistics at Eötvös Loránd University in Budapest, Hungary.

His professional interests are intercultural communication, trainer training and ELT methodology. Over the last 10 years he has also worked in a wide variety of international contexts doing in-service workshops, training courses and consultancies. Most recently, Uwe has been involved in large-scale trainer training projects in the USA (School for International Training, VT), Austria (ECML/Council of Europe), Ethiopia (BC), Turkey (Council of Europe) and China (BC).
