Eva Kysilkova is based in London, where she works as a primary school teacher, and has previously held ELT positions in the Czech Republic, Spain and Italy. She is a qualified primary and secondary teacher who holds a Masters Degree in English Language and Literature and French Language and Literature. She also works as a teacher trainer specialising in teaching English to young learners.
She began her ELT career in 2000 in her native Czech Republic. After sixteen years of teaching, training and management roles in private language schools in Spain and Italy, she moved to the UK and she is now incorporating the methodologies and techniques from the communicative language approach into her everyday teaching in state primary schools.
Away from the classroom, much of her time is spent raising her two boys. When she has a spare moment she relaxes by doing origami. Indeed, such is her passion for that hobby, she has not just brought it into her own classroom, but has also trained teachers on how to incorporate origami into young learner lessons.
