Csilla Hős teaches English to teenagers in Budapest, so her work as an in-service teacher trainer is deeply rooted in her classroom practice. She has been involved in a range of teacher development initiatives, and from 2000 to 2005 she managed the in-service teacher training project of British Council Hungary. She has facilitated workshops and run courses for teachers and teacher trainers in Hungary, the U.K., Germany, the Czech Republic, Poland, Iceland, and her native Serbia.
The courses she has run focussed on integrating language and culture teaching, the learner-centred classroom, developing a good school culture, and the management of change in education.
She was the vice president of IATEFL Hungary for two years and has been involved in the Council of Europe Pestalozzi Programme since 2011.
