It’s the beginning of the school year for many of us. Are you looking for ways to motivate and inspire your students? If so, come along to our free online event on 17th September: Power-Up Launch Pad I. You’ll hear five NILE trainers giving their best hints for motivating language learners and answering your questions. This event is to celebrate the launch of some exciting new courses in our Power-Up series of online courses.
What are Power-Up courses? These are short courses (usually three weeks) that help teachers boost their practical skills quickly so they can be putting ideas into practice in their classrooms before the course has even finished! For a while we’ve been running the highly successful Flipping Your Classes with Russell Stannard of Teacher training Videos and Drama Games for Language Teaching with David Farmer of Drama Resource, which won the English Speaking Union prize for Best Teacher Resource in 2018. Now we are thrilled to add more courses to the family:
• Evaluation and Assessment in the Flipped Classroom with Russell Stannard of Teacher Training Videos
We really appreciate working with these trainers who are top names within their fields and so we’ve decided to bring them all together to make an event to inspire teachers to inspire their learners. Each presenter will give three practical ideas from their area of expertise that you can use in your classes to encourage motivation.
The Launch Pad will consist of a short plenary with Johanna Stirling, NILE Online Academic Manager, on Motivation in the 21st Century Classroom, followed by the five 10-minute talks. We finish off with a Q&A session with all of the trainers – your chance to ask them what you will!
It may well be just the inspiration you need at the beginning of the school year.
