NILE has delivered the MA in Professional Development for Language Education (MAPDLE) for more than 20 years, a programme that has been followed by over 700 teachers, trainers and language educators from over 40 different countries.

In January 2017 we are pleased to offer the MA elective module Trainer Development face to face in São Paulo, followed by the core module Language Teaching Methodology at AEXALEVI in Buenos Aires, and finally the elective module Testing, Evaluation and Assessment at the Anglo in Montevideo in February.

The MA was designed especially for the working language professional, and has developed over the years from a blended version with intensive teaching periods in Norwich, UK, followed by supervised distance learning, to delivery of face-to-face courses overseas, to an option of a completely online delivery.

The MA is validated by the University of Chichester and can be completed in Norwich, at another of our high status venues in South America or online. The online modules offer small, tutor-led classes of international colleagues, with bespoke tools developed especially for the NILE Online platform.

MAPDLE participants come from a wide range of backgrounds; they can be teachers, trainers, publishers, mentors, ministry officials, anyone involved in language education. They join for a variety of reasons; finding out more about the profession they are in, seeking professional satisfaction or gaining a qualification being some of them.

Join colleagues from across the world for the next step in your language teaching career!

The MAPDLE consists of a core module and 2 electives form a choice of 9 and a dissertation. A Postgraduate Certificate and Postgraduate Diploma are also available, and the Delta is credit-bearing towards the MA. To find out more and apply contact NILE's Registrar, Alison Lake,
