The busy summer period was hardly over before we embarked on the conference season.
We have had a strong presence in South America this autumn, with Simon Smith, MA Programme Leader, at the Anglo Conference in Uruguay; Jamie Keddie presenting for us and Macmillan at BrELT on the Road and in Uruguay; Laura Renart attending the FAAPI conference in Argentina. Dave Allan did a toured Brazil with Macmillan in October. No sooner was he back then Maria Heron was in Peru delivering workshops at the Macmillan Teacher Days in Trujillo and Lima.
In September we worked with Pharos University at their 2nd International ELT Symposium. Closer to home, Tony Prince presented at IATEFL Poland with some great feedback and Phil Ball contributed with his views on CLIL at the British Council Teaching for Success conference in Madrid. Just as Maria Byrne was speaking at the All In: Educate and Include conference in Italy, Tony was off again, this time to Cyprus and ICONFLE 2017 at EMU. Russell Stannard represented us a the LAKMA conference in Vilnius, Chris Rose spoke at SkyTeach in cyberspace, whilst Johanna Stirling (pictured) went to China to talk for NILE and Macmillan. Thom Kiddle, on the other hand, left his passport at home for once and spoke at the IATEFL TEASIG seminar in Luton, 21 minutes outside London. This weekend he is off to the Eaquals Training for Excellence event in Malta, and then we’ll all attempt to stay in the office for a little while.
In addition to this, NILE trainers have delivered bespoke training in Greece, Kazakhstan, Austria, London, Cyprus and Saudi Arabia. If you want to know more, invite us to speak at your event or deliver training at your institution, contact us now – we're happy to help.
