The EU has recently announced significant changes to the way professional development funding is provided for teacher and trainers.

Funding for teachers and trainers from all EU Member States as well as Iceland, Turkey, the former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Liechtenstein, Norway and Switzerland is now available under the new name, Erasmus+.

This programme replaces the Comenius, Grundtvig and other EU schemes previously available.

Under the Erasmus+ scheme, you can no longer apply for CPD funding as an individual. Applications for funding must be made through your organisation (your school/college/institution) with your professional development training included as an element of your organisation's wider European Development Plan.

The deadline for applying for Erasmus+ funding is 17th March 2014.

The application process is very thorough, and we strongly recommend that you start your application now!

For more information, see our Erasmus+ Funding page.
