#33 - Have I got pews for you!
This sign was spotted on the wall around a church in Norwich. Have I Got News for You is a popular BBC comedy quiz show which takes an irreverent look at the week's news. At first glance, it may seem that the church is using a play on words in order to attract worshippers inside. However, on further investigation, it turns out that the church is actually selling off some of its pews and so it really does have pews for you! It's a typical example of the use of rhyme, pun and popular culture in advertising and signs in the UK. Have you seen any other examples?
