This tailor-made LDI course (Learning Differences and Inclusion) was led by NILE Trainer Maria Byrne, and coordinated by Elena Assirelli (who was also a keen participant on the course).  The participants work at a hospitality and catering college in Italy and were taking part in a wider project to improve their ability to promote intercultural awareness, integration and inclusion in their institution. The course focused on understanding barriers to learning in terms of specific learning ‘processing’ differences, and from this, exploring methods, techniques and activity types that can help learners address these issues. The enthusiasm, motivation of this group was contagious! Not only did the trainees embark on a journey of professional development, but they had a lot of fun too!

Feedback from the participants included:

"I really liked the atmosphere at NILE. The staff and the teacher have been so supportive, caring and professional. Overall it has been an amazing experience. I’d like to come back and do another course."

"I am going home with new knowledge and lots of new ideas and activities to share with my colleagues and students."
