In September we welcomed a group of 30 young people from Duca degli Abruzzi school in Treviso, Italy who had come with funding from the EU and the Veneto Region, in Italy. They stayed with us for a two-week course based around the topic of Digital Citizenship.
As well as considering such topics as the use of digital technology for their own learning and its impact on their lives and society, the group carried out projects which involved them interviewing local people and creating their own performance poem. They enjoyed a social programme which included Laser Quest and a trip to Cambridge and the Norfolk Coast.
In the words of the students:
"My experience was unforgettable and I’ll miss this place, all lessons were funny and the
programme activities were unique. I love this place."
"The lessons were really interesting and I felt like time flew."
"The centre was well-equipped, people were nice, the location was really good."
"They were an enthusiastic and participative group and were very keen to get the most out of all aspects of their stay in Norwich."
We were very pleased to have been able to run such a successful course, and look forward to welcoming a new group next year
