We were delighted to host a group of 19 Colombian state school teachers for a methodology refresher course in partnership with the Chilean Ministry of Education and the British Council. As well as their sessions at NILE on current approaches to teaching skills and revisiting key concepts in ELT, they visited a local secondary school and went on a mission to find ELT resources in Cambridge.
They enjoyed a busy social programme which included a visit to London and a storytelling session.
The participants were extremely hardworking and committed and their microteaching sessions reflected how much they had taken on board from the course. We were very sad to see them leave but hope to receive participants on similar projects in the future.
The quality of the teaching I received has made me feel very confident – I have more tools to improve my teaching.
I feel I have grown academically and professionally. I am thankful to NILE for all the support and help when I needed it.
You all made us feel really welcome in your institute, city and country.
The teachers modelled with their lessons what teachers should do in their classes. They live what they say, so as a teacher I could see in a practical way the theory I had learnt, and I can apply and adapt it to my context in Colombia.
This has been an amazing experience and I am personally thankful for all you have done for us. I hope to keep working hard and learn more from other courses you offer in the future.
