Homestay accommodation in Norwich

By choosing to stay in homestay accommodation you can be assured of a relaxed and friendly environment in which to practise and develop your English language skills.

Staying with a local host, you will share meals and conversation and have a unique opportunity to experience the British way of life. Half-board homestay accommodation is available year-round and includes bed, breakfast, evening meal and a light or packed lunch at weekends.

The homestay package includes:

  • bed linen and towels
  • support from our accommodation team

Once you have enrolled on a course, our accommodation team will consider your accommodation preferences and match you with the most suitable host available. Our hosts come from all backgrounds, have a whole range of interests and skills, and are carefully selected and visited regularly to ensure our high standards are maintained. We offer homestay accommodation in urban as well as suburban areas of Norwich, with the course centres reachable on foot or by public transport.

Residential accommodation:

In our residential accommodation, you will have the opportunity to live in a small vibrant community of international teachers.

University of East Anglia (UEA), Norwich

The UEA campus is approximately 4km from the city centre and has a variety of shops, cafes and bars, a sports complex and extensive grounds in which to enjoy leisure time after class. There are regular buses 24 hours a day, providing reliable transport to and from the city centre.

NILE’s accommodation at UEA is in university ‘houses’ or ‘flats’ of 10 single en-suite rooms, with kitchen/dining room shared with other NILE course participants. Residential accommodation is self-catering and free WiFi is provided by The Cloud.

Residential accommodation includes:

  • a single study-bedroom with en-suite shower room
  • weekly room cleaning
  • bed linen and towels
  • shared, fully-equipped kitchen/dining room

Residential accommodation is available June –September.

Hotels and Guest Houses

If you prefer to stay in a hotel, B&B or guest house in Norwich, the Visit Norwich website has a list of accommodation providers. You will need to book your accommodation directly with the hotel or guest house, however, it is often worth mentioning NILE at the time of booking.
