The English in Britain Accreditation Scheme protects overseas students at accredited organisations in the UK. The Accreditation marque ensures standards of service and provides access to a complaints procedure
The scheme was extended in 1999 to include organisations providing training and development for English language teachers, and the British Council inspected and accredited the Norwich Institute for Language Education (NILE) in 1999, 2002 and 2007. The Accreditation Scheme assesses the standards of management, resources and premises, teaching and welfare and accredits organisations which meet the overall standard in each area inspected (see www.britishcouncil.org/english/courses for details).
"This private language school offers courses mainly in Professional English for adults, as well as courses in general and Academic English. Points of excellence were noted in teachers' qualifications, course design, the leisure programme, and in aspects of general management, academic management, and teaching.
The inspection report stated that the organisation met the standards of the Scheme."
